This will be TCLT’s second work day to remove invasive ivy from the Land Trusts most treasured, and unknown, properties. “We accomplished a lot on our first day two weeks ago!  We hope you can make it or at least support our efforts to preserve the biological integrity of our properties and easements. It is quite the battle!” said Steen Trump, Trinidad Coastal Land Trust Board Trustee.  For more details, call Steen at (707) 834-4499.

Pilot Point is the Land Trust’s largest landholding located at the north end of Moonstone Beach with beautiful Two Creek running through it. Pilot Point is a property dedicated to the conservation of native flora and fauna and is a research area for Humboldt State University. Its southern slopes are home to the increasingly rare mountain beaver, a large (and some think cute) nocturnal rodent unrelated to the true beaver.
