TBWC Quarterly Meeting

Mark your calendars and plan to join us for the January Trinidad Bay Watershed Council meeting to provide input about current and proposed projects in the Trinidad Bay watersheds, discuss issues of common concern, get the latest news from watershed partners and learn how to use nature based solutions to conserve water and prevent water pollution.

Trinidad Bay Watershed Council Meeting

Information about the Septic System Repair Assistance Program will be presented, followed by a discussion about improving participation in the funding assistance program.  Other meeting topics include the TBWC membership drive and updates about ongoing and proposed projects in the Trinidad-Westhaven watersheds to improve water quality, trails and reduce water use.

The first round of repairs/replacements for the Septic System Repair Program will be completed this fall.  Meeting participants will be asked for suggestions about how to reach out to homeowners that could benefit from funding assistance to repair or replace failing systems in the priority areas of Parker Creek, lower Luffenholtz Creek and Joland Creek watersheds. The program provides funding assistance of 25% – 75% for Septic System/OWTS repair/replacement on an income based sliding-scale, funded through a Prop 84 Clean Beaches Initiative Grant.
